The ASEAN-German Cooperation project “Sustainable Mobility in Metropolitan Regions in ASEAN” (SMMR) hosted a webinar session presenting on how ‘Multimodal Interchange Hubs’ systems assist urban mobility planning and management in metropolitan areas in the region.
‘Multimodal Interchange Hubs‘ are transport nodes that interconnect multiple modes of transport, and consequently, improve urban connectivity, accessibility, and efficiency. Smooth, safe, and seamless multimodal interchange hubs are key to achieving greater SustainableMobility and TransitOrientedDevelopment (TOD).
The webinar set out to:
- enrich the understanding of participants on the concept of Multimodal Interchange Hubs and related best practices through a selection of case studies;
- share practical advice on how to successful plan ,appraise and deliver Multimodal Interchange Hubs;
- provide guidance on organising and managing relevant stakeholders.
